2. What data is stored?

Kombinationen is designed to be privacy-friendly. There is no registration and no login.

Anonymous player ID

On your first visit (web) or app launch (iOS), an anonymous account is automatically created and a random ID (UUID) is generated. This ID is not linked to your identity and contains no personal information.

Game progress

Your score, found words, and whether you have completed a puzzle are saved together with your anonymous ID on our server — so you can continue your progress next time.

iOS app: Advertising (Google AdMob)

The iOS app displays ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may process your device's Advertising ID (IDFA). On first launch, you will be asked for consent via the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. If you decline, only non-personalised ads will be shown.

What we do NOT store

No IP address, no email, no name. The website uses no traditional cookies and no tracking.

3. Legal basis

Processing is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO (legitimate interest). The legitimate interest lies in the technical necessity to store game progress.

4. Retention period

Game progress is stored for a maximum of 12 months after the last access and then automatically deleted.

5. iOS app: Google AdMob

The iOS app uses Google AdMob (Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) to display banner and rewarded ads.

AdMob may process device-specific identifiers (Advertising ID / IDFA) and anonymised usage data. Google acts as an independent data controller for this data. On first app launch, your consent is obtained via the ATT (App Tracking Transparency) prompt. If you decline, only non-personalised ads are shown.

6. Third-party service — Supabase

We use Supabase (Supabase Inc., 970 Toa Payoh North, Singapore) as a database service provider. Supabase only stores the anonymous data mentioned in section 2. A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) according to Art. 28 DSGVO is in place with Supabase.

7. Hosting — Vercel

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA). Vercel processes technical access data (server logs) in accordance with their privacy policy.

8. localStorage & local storage

We use no tracking and no traditional cookies. Instead, the browser's built-in localStorage is used only to store your anonymous player ID. This data leaves your browser only to save your game progress on our server.

You can delete the stored data at any time by clearing the website data for this domain in your browser. Your game progress will be lost.

9. Data deletion (iOS app)

In the iOS app, you can permanently delete all your game progress and your anonymous account under Privacy → Delete All Data. All data stored on our server will be removed and a new anonymous session will be started.
